1. Overview
Kinnote is a personal relationship journal. SosoPixel does not operate a Kinnote account system or a server that receives your relationship records. The main records you create are handled on your device.
This policy covers the Kinnote app, supported widgets and device features, advertising services, and support correspondence that you choose to send.
2. Information handled on your device
Kinnote may store the following kinds of information on your device.
- Names, contact details, birthdays, affiliations, and other person details you add
- Groups, memories, notes, meeting history, plans, and important dates
- Personal ledger entries, photos, reminders, and app settings
If you choose to import contacts, Kinnote first requests permission and then reads the contact's name, first phone number and email address, and birthday on your device. Only the contacts you select are copied into Kinnote. A photo you select is also kept in the app's on-device storage.
SosoPixel does not operate a separate usage analytics or crash reporting service. Diagnostic messages may remain in device logs, but they are not sent automatically to SosoPixel.
3. Notifications, widgets, and caller identification
If you enable these features, Kinnote may show names, plans, important dates, and related notes in notifications or widgets. They may also be visible on the lock screen, depending on your device settings.
On supported devices, enabling caller identification makes phone numbers, names, and limited group or affiliation details available in shared on-device storage for that feature. This information is not sent to a SosoPixel server.
You can change permissions, notification display, and related features in your device's system settings.
4. Advertising and third-party services
The free version of Kinnote may use Google Mobile Ads and Google's consent management tools. Kinnote requests non-personalized ads. It does not send your relationship records to the advertising service or use them as custom advertising data.
Google and its advertising partners may process device identifiers, approximate location inferred from an Internet Protocol address, app and ad interactions, and diagnostics for ad delivery, measurement, frequency management, and fraud prevention. Where required, Google's consent interface may appear before ads can be requested.
When SosoPixel uses a third-party service, it reviews the protections described by that service and the requirements of applicable law.
5. Exports, backups, and security
Kinnote records are kept in the app's on-device storage and are protected by your device and operating system security. A Kinnote backup file is encrypted with the password you choose. The password is not sent to SosoPixel, and SosoPixel cannot recover a forgotten password.
A comma-separated table export is not encrypted and may contain personal information. You choose its destination or recipient through the operating system share interface. After export, the policies of the destination and storage provider apply.
Operating system device backups may include app data. Removing the app may not remove operating system backups or files you exported separately.
6. Support correspondence
If you contact SosoPixel by email, SosoPixel receives your email address, message, and any files you choose to attach so that it can respond. Please do not send personal Kinnote records or backup files that are not necessary for your request.
Information provided in a support request is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and related obligations. You may request deletion at sosopixel.dev@gmail.com, and the request will be handled under applicable law.
7. Retention, deletion, and your choices
Your on-device Kinnote records remain until you delete them in the app or remove the app. SosoPixel cannot view or remotely delete those records. Operating system backups and exported files must be deleted separately.
Information processed by the advertising service is retained and deleted under Google's policies. You can change Kinnote permissions and notifications in your device settings and manage advertising choices through Google ad settings.
8. Children
Kinnote is not designed for or directed to children.
9. Policy changes and contact
If the app's features, third-party services, or data practices change, SosoPixel will update this policy and its effective date.
